The Red Sox will face off against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday, marking the conclusion of another frustrating season in Boston.
Despite the challenges, there were some bright spots in Portland, Maine. Worcester, Massachusetts, served as the final destination for several promising talents. Salem, Virginia, Greenville, South Carolina, and Fort Myers, Florida, all contributed to the organization’s positive moments. As Boston looks ahead to a crucial offseason filled with tough choices, there’s optimism that certain prospects could help turn things around.
On Thursday, the Red Sox honored a selection of these prospects by announcing the winners of their 2024 Minor League Awards:
Offensive Player of the Year: Infielder/Outfielder Kristian Campbell (No. 3 prospect via Sox Prospects)
