Things are slowly but surely beginning to improve for Georgia football when it comes to injuries. Sure it still isn’t as great as most would hope, but it is a lot better than other teams around the country. This includes Georgia’s next opponent, Ole Miss, who surprisingly has 29 names on their injury report.
Unfortunately for Georgia, they do have a new name that was added to their injury report on Thursday, and this is someone nobody wants to see added.
Starting right guard Micah Morris has been added to the Bulldogs’ injury report and labeled as “questionable” for UGA’s upcoming game against Ole Miss. This is significant news because Morris has been the starter at right guard for the last five games.
Morris was the replacement for Tate Ratledge after he suffered an ankle injury during the Kentucky game, and Morris has done an excellent job ever since taking over.
The one positive thing about Georgia’s injury report is that Ratledge is not listed, so if Morris is not able to go Ratledge should be able to slide back in as the starting guard. But it’s about time Georgia has both of these players fully available. They are both great players so having the depth they both would bring is something that Georgia desperately needs.
aciIt’s unclear when Morris picked up this injury because not much has been said about his status before Thursday. Maybe he picked up this injury in practice, but at the end of the day none of that matters. All that matters is he gets back to full health soon, which hopefully will be in time for Georgia’s game on Saturday against the RebelsM.
