Bryce Underwood’s high school football career came to an end on Friday night with a loss in the state playoff quarterfinals. The five-star quarterback can now turn his full attention to deciding between LSU and Michigan for his college football future.
However, during the game against Novi Detroit Catholic Central, Underwood seemed to strongly hint at where he plans to play at the next level.
As the top-ranked recruit in the Class of 2025, Underwood has yet to turn 18—his birthday is in August—but a decision is looming. The Early Signing Period is just about 30 days away, and National Signing Day is set for February 5th.
While Bryce Underwood could extend his recruitment through the holiday season, all signs point to him being firmly committed to the Bayou Bengals. LSU initially secured his commitment back in January, but Sherrone Moore and the in-state Wolverines are making a strong push to flip the talented quarterback.
Michigan is reportedly ready to offer a groundbreaking NIL deal to entice Underwood to stay close to home, just 30 minutes from where he grew up. The Champions Circle collective has prepared an offer exceeding $2.5 million per year over four years, totaling at least $10 million—a record-breaking figure in NIL history.
