BREAKING: War between Jerry Jones and Dallas head coach for an awful criticism

Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, now an analyst for NBC’s ‘Football Night in America,’ expressed his thoughts on his former team after their disappointing Week 3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

When asked about Garrett’s remarks, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones responded candidly.

Garrett’s comments gained attention, as highlighted by Jon Machota from The Athletic. He stated, “They’re not a physical football team. Everyone knows this about the Cowboys now. You have to go in there and run the ball. The last two years, they were dominant at home, but teams have found the formula: run the ball, get ahead, and that silences the pass rush. The Ravens controlled the game by dominating the line of scrimmage.”

Jones was asked for his thoughts on whether he agrees that the Cowboys lack physicality, referring to Garrett’s view as a “cliché.” He remarked, “No, I recognize that’s Jason Garrett’s philosophy, and I agree with it in many ways. When you hear people talk about needing to run the ball or stop the run, that’s how almost every conversation about football starts. It’s like saying we need to unlock the front door of the store—it’s a cliché.”

While Garrett’s observations are hard to dispute, especially regarding the running game, the Cowboys have now lost two straight games, managing just 51 and 68 rushing yards with an average of 3.2 yards per carry in both contests.

To add to the frustration, no player rushed for more than 32 yards in either loss. Rico Dowdle led the team in rushing in both games, with 30 yards against the New Orleans Saints and 32 against the Ravens.

Although the Cowboys almost staged a remarkable comeback in the fourth quarter against the Ravens, the outcome only highlighted more issues and raised further concerns about the team’s prospects heading into Week 4.
