BREAKING: Red Sox Skillful player Opens Up About Season Ending Injury

Rafael Devers is focused on becoming the best version of himself for the Boston Red Sox in the 2025 season.

After struggling with persistent shoulder injuries this year, Devers was placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday, meaning he will miss the team’s last eight games due to shoulder inflammation.

In his first comments since the announcement, Devers spoke to the media in Boston’s clubhouse on Sunday. “Things happen. It’s part of the game,” he said through a translator, as reported by NESN. “It happens to many other players. I’m not frustrated, just a little disappointed. At the same time, you have to deal with it.”

The three-time All-Star also mentioned that neither of his shoulder issues will require offseason surgery.

As the Red Sox secured a series win on Sunday with a doubleheader sweep against the Minnesota Twins, they are set to complete their 2024 season this week. Their final road trip kicks off Monday with a three-game series against the rival Toronto Blue Jays.
