Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love returned to practice on Wednesday, increasing the likelihood that he will start against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
After the session, Coach Matt LaFleur noted that Love participated in a limited capacity. When pressed for details about Love’s activities during practice, LaFleur simply reiterated that it was “limited” without elaborating further.
Love sustained a sprained MCL in his left knee during the final moments of the Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on September 6. Just twelve days after there were concerns about a possible torn ACL, Love was seen hopping on both legs during warmups and throwing bootleg passes at the beginning of practice.
Reporters were only able to observe about five minutes of practice, but Love appeared to be moving normally while wearing a sleeve on his left leg.
Last week, LaFleur mentioned he would consider playing Love even if he hadn’t practiced. However, on Monday, he stated he would prefer Love to get some practice time before participating in a game.
“We’ll see how it plays out,” LaFleur said a couple of days after Malik Willis helped the Packers secure a 16-10 victory over the Colts. “Ideally, if he’s going to play, it would be beneficial for him to get some reps, especially since it’s been two weeks. That’s a long time.”
Love did not practice last week, was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report, downgraded to doubtful on Saturday, and ultimately was inactive on Sunday.
