BREAKING NEWS: Red Sox LHP Will Retire At The End Of The Season

Boston Red Sox left-hander James Paxton has announced his retirement at the end of this season. The 35-year-old pitcher made three starts for the Red Sox after being traded from the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 26. He has been on the injured list since August 12, following a strained right calf he suffered while covering first base against the Houston Astros. In an interview on the “Baseball Isn’t Boring” podcast with Rob Bradford, Paxton expressed hope that he might get another chance to pitch if the team makes the postseason.
