BREAKING NEWS: Head Injury Sustained By Toronto Maple Leafs First Round Pick Following A Hit During Training Camp

Danford barely got out of his uncomfortable landing against the boards and eventually had to leave practice due to an injury. This is extremely concerning—not just for fans of the Maple Leafs, but also because it brings to mind Roni Hirvonen’s  practice injury, in which he sustained a severe concussion that required time to heal.

Although Danford was initially only benched for precautionary reasons, head coach of the Maple Leafs prospects John Gruden has provided us with an update on the rookie’s status:

He’s currently undergoing evaluation. John Gruden, the head coach of the Maple Leafs prospects, said of Danford, via TSN’s Mark Masters,  Hopefully he’ll be ok.
