The Cincinnati Bengals are preparing for their Sunday afternoon matchup with the Carolina Panthers, which is a definite must-win.
For the second time this season, the Bengals were taken aback inside Paycor Stadium, losing to the Washington Commanders and falling to 0-3 overall.
One narrative from the heartbreaking defeat is on the arrival of Amarius Mims following Trent Brown’s horrific season-ending injury.
In what was his first meaningful NFL action outside of training camp, Mims stepped in and performed admirably.
Although it appeared as though there was a misunderstanding rather than the first-round choice being severely injured, the rookie tackle handed up a sack.

Mims talked about his first start of the season this weekend and his eagerness to defend Joe Burrow.
“You will not be good in this game if your confidence is low. You must always have complete faith in yourself, regardless of the outcome, according to Mims.
Rewatching the tape with the Commanders, the rookie was dissatisfied with his performance.
I am quite critical of myself and believe that my performance fell short of my expectations. I watched the movie as well as one on the opponent this weekend, and all I’m really doing is trying to figure out how to stop making the same mistakes over and over again.
Mims is already operating with a professional attitude, which should help him develop into the franchise right tackle that the Bengals sorely need.
