NEW YORK Five months after declaring his retirement, John Sterling was back in the New York Yankees radio broadcast booth on Tuesday night.
Months into his 36th season, in April, Sterling had announced his retirement. It was the first of the team’s final regular-season homestand, and he was back at work with partner Suzyn Waldman on the WFAN broadcast.
Sterling, who turned 86 on July 4, plans to work every Yankees postseason game as well as the remainder of the regular season.
