Bengals Rule Out Two Players for Monday’s Game
The Cincinnati Bengals have had a rough start to the 2024 NFL season, losing to the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs. Injury issues have plagued the team, notably with Tee Higgins sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
However, Week 3 presents a chance for Cincinnati to secure their first win of the season against the struggling Washington Commanders. The Commanders’ weak defense could provide Joe Burrow and the offense an opportunity to bounce back, as their offense poses minimal threats aside from Jayden Daniels’ rushing skills.
Before the matchup, the Bengals announced their injury report, indicating that tight end Tanner Hudson and defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins are officially out. Defensive tackle BJ Hill is listed as doubtful, while DT Kris Jenkins Jr. and safety Vonn Bell are questionable.

On a positive note, wide receiver Tee Higgins and offensive lineman Amarius Mims both participated fully in practice and are not on the injury report, ready to make their 2024 debuts.
Sheldon Rankins’ absence is a setback for the defensive line, but Tanner Hudson’s loss is less significant since Mike Gesicki is available. The defensive line should still be able to apply pressure on Daniels, who has faced challenges in his passing game. Ultimately, the outcome will likely depend on Burrow and the offense’s ability to score.
