JUST IN: Cowboys Jerry Jones Under Fire After Controversial Leaked Video Emerges

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is facing criticism, possibly without realizing it. A video surfaced on social media of him watching a Cowboys practice, which sparked renewed discussions about past accusations of racism against him.

The clip was shared during a livestream by actor Jamie Foxx, who appeared to be sitting with Jones while showing fans footage of the practice. Unbeknownst to him, Jones began listing measurements of a player, though he didn’t specify who it was.

Jones commented on typical NFL Combine stats, saying, “He looked pretty good right there. He showed balance, 5-foot-9 and a half, 210.” Foxx echoed the height and weight. Jones then mentioned a 40-yard dash time of 4.41 and noted, “Nine and three-inch hands.”

As he continued, he made a comment that was abruptly cut off by Foxx, who ended the video.

The video, which surfaced on the website https://www.skatjet.com/, clearly features Cowboys owner Jerry Jones but remains somewhat ambiguous. Nonetheless, it has circulated widely on both social and traditional media. There’s a chance Jones was misquoted or simply joking, but many interpreted his comments as referencing anatomical size in a historically sensitive way.

It’s worth noting that it’s unclear if the player in question is Black, although the measurements coincidentally match those of running back Dalvin Cook, who is on the practice squad. Cook is listed at 5-foot-10 and 210 pounds, with a 40-yard dash time of 4.49 seconds from the 2017 draft.

Jones’s background is also significant; he grew up during a racially charged era in Arkansas. The Washington Post even published a 1957 photo showing a 14-year-old Jones among a group of white teens blocking Black students from entering a public school in Little Rock.

Additionally, Jones faced accusations in a 2023 lawsuit from former NFL Media writer Jim Trotter, who claimed Jones made a racist remark suggesting that Black players shouldn’t ask for more representation of HBCU players in the NFL draft because they already receive a “large percentage of league revenue” and should therefore not complain.

With that backdrop, Jones took some serious heat in the wake of the airing of the Cowboys practice video. The popular site MLFootball, which has more than 260,000 followers, wrote: WHAT IN THE JERRY JONES IS THIS…

“Jerry Jones did not want people like Jamie Foxx to attend public schools,” @90sConcert stated on Twitter/X. In actuality, he participated in a demonstration that prevented black students from attending public schools, so it was more than just something he didn’t want. Of course, handle him like any other respectable, non-racist person.

In Week 3, the Cowboys take on the Ravens on Sunday.
