BREAKING: Excellent performance from Bears rookie quarterback for his first two starts of the season

The first two games for Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and former Bears quarterback Justin Fields with his new team have now concluded.

Williams became the first rookie quarterback to win his NFL debut since David Carr in 2002. However, he might say that the team’s overall performance was a collective effort, as the offense is still working to find its rhythm.

Fields is filling in for Russell Wilson, who is recovering from a calf injury sustained during training camp. He has led the Steelers to two consecutive wins to start the season. Like Williams, his statistics reflect that he did just enough, given the limited support from the Steelers’ defense.

Here are the statistics for each quarterback after two weeks, along with their league rankings:

267 yards (30th), 56.1% completion (27th), 0 TD (31st), 2 INT, 24.5 QBR (29th), 53 passer rating (30th)

273 yards (29th), 69.8% completion (11th), 1 TD (22nd), 0 INT, 40.9 QBR (23rd), 94.4 passer rating (14th)

The big question for Bears fans is whether Williams will outperform Fields and validate the decision to trade him to the Steelers.
