Fans noticed a few days ago that the Toronto Maple Leafs had deleted all of the O’s from their social media images. The Leafs ultimately revealed their reasoning for the move on Tuesday afternoon.

The Toronto Maple Leafs’ new helmet sponsor, Oreo, was revealed in a released video.

It will be a night of new beginnings in Toronto, with new head coach Craig Berube set to make his debut behind the Leafs’ bench. Even though it’s just a pre-season game, fans are excited to see Berube in action. The lineup for the first game will be of particular interest.

Fraser Minten’s status remains uncertain after he exited the rookie game against the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday afternoon. However, we can expect to see emerging talents like Easton Cowan, Nikita Grebenkin, and Cade Webber, along with some seasoned veterans and possibly some of the Maple Leafs’ summer signings, including Max Pacioretty, Chris Tanev, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, and Anthony Stolarz.
