Vlad Guerrero J., the hitting machine for the Blue Jays, has always been undeniably skilled at the plate.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is known for his impressive home runs and frequent hard-hit balls, but it’s his knack for driving in runs that has recently etched him into the Toronto Blue Jays’ history books.

With an RBI single in the seventh inning of Saturday’s 7-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals, Guerrero reached 500 RBIs, becoming the youngest player in Blue Jays history to achieve this milestone.

“He’s got exceptional talent,” said Jays pitcher Jose Berrios, who admires Guerrero’s prowess at the plate. “It’s his mindset—he always believes he’s going to get a hit against any pitcher. He’s not only smart but also a smart hitter. The talent he has is truly remarkable.

Guerrero reached 500 RBIs at just 25 years old, more than two years younger than the previous youngest Blue Jay to reach this milestone, Lloyd Mosby. Additionally, the Montreal native became the 12th player in franchise history to record 500 RBIs, accomplishing this in 806 games.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider agrees with Berrios’s assessment of Guerrero’s exceptional hitting ability, noting that Guerrero’s skills extend beyond just hitting home runs.
