The ongoing feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has been a hot topic in entertainment recently. Los Angeles Dodgers stars Mookie Betts and Jack Flaherty recently shared their views on the matter during an episode of On Base with Mookie Betts, according to B/R Walk-Off.
Dodgers Stars Back Kendrick Lamar
During the discussion, Betts asked Flaherty if there was a definitive right side in the dispute between the rappers. Flaherty, who joined the Dodgers from the Detroit Tigers in July, took a moment to consider before responding.
That’s a tough one, Flaherty said. I don’t think you can say there’s only one correct side… I’m on Kendrick’s side. But I’m sure someone could argue against me—I’m sticking with my side. So maybe I am leaning towards the idea that there’s only one side.
Betts then inquired whether Flaherty was a fan of Lamar. Flaherty confirmed he is, though he also likes Drake.
But when you see what Kendrick did with the city, with his pop-up show and bringing everyone out, Flaherty added, you can’t deny that he won.
Betts, a top player in the league, concurred with Flaherty’s perspective on the feud.
I think I’m on the same page with that, Betts said. Kendrick… he really went all out.
It appears Kendrick Lamar is widely viewed as the winner in the public eye, a sentiment shared by Betts and Flaherty. Despite their appreciation for Drake’s music, the Dodgers stars are backing Lamar in this particular feud.
