A major topic of discussion for the Green Bay Packers as they approach Week 6 of the 2024 NFL regular season is the suspension of wide receiver Romeo Doubs for a game due to conduct deemed detrimental to the team.
Doubs’ suspension is thought to be a consequence of his intentional absence from practice ahead of the Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Rams. Now that the suspension has ended, he is expected to return this Sunday for the matchup against the Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field.
Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love is more than willing to move on from the Romeo Doubs saga, as he expressed his feelings about getting one of his downfield weapons back.
“I believe everyone is looking forward to having him back, and we’ll just move on from here,” Love stated, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
Love is likely pleased to see Doubs return, as he aims to regain his rhythm as quarterback after missing a couple of games due to an injury from Week 1’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil.
Even without Doubs absent in Week 5, Love and the Packers were able to pull off a 24-19 win against the Rams in Inglewood. Also missing downfield in that contest was Christian Watson, who continue to deal with an injury. Tight end Tucker Kraft stepped up in a big way for the Packers in the Rams game, as he had 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns on four catches and five targets, while Love passed for 224 yard with an interception on 15-of-26 completions.
