SHOCKING: Broncos Get Bad News on Raiders Final Injury Report for Week 5

On Sunday, the Denver Broncos will play the Las Vegas Raiders. Unexpectedly, Raider Week in Denver will overlap with Alumni Week when the Broncos honor the Orange Crush period on Sunday in front of the Mile High faithful with the induction of Steve Foley and Riley Odoms into the Ring of Fame and the induction of Randy Gradishar into the Hall of Fame.

Since the Raiders are coming into this Week 5 matchup as the walking wounded, we have been keeping a careful eye on both teams’ injury statuses throughout the whole week. Both teams released their final injury reports for Week 5, with the Raiders leading the Broncos by eight games at the moment.

First, let’s examine the home team.

Broncos

Out

  • Tyler Badie | RB | Back

Full Go

  • Josh Reynolds | WR | Foot
  • JL Skinner | S | Ankle
  • Tremon Smith | CB | Hand

In contrast to the Raiders, the Broncos are in excellent condition. Denver has already placed three starters on injured reserve since the beginning of the season, something that this injury report fails to mention.

The Broncos appear to be trying to ride out this storm rather than put Badie on injured reserve after he had to be taken off after collapsing from his terrifying back injury last week at MetLife Stadium. Skinner is back after being out due to injury the previous week.

Raiders

Out

  • Davante Adams | WR | Hamstring
  • Luke Masterson | LB | Knee
  • Michael Mayer | TE | NIR/Personal
  • Thayer Munford | OT | Knee/Ankle
  • Decamerion Richardson | CB | Hamstring
  • Zamir White | RB | Groin
  • Trey Taylor | S | Knee

Questionable

  • Maxx Crosby | DE | Ankle
  • Divine Deablo | LB | Oblique
  • Kana’i Mauga | LB | Calf
  • Tyreik McAllister | WR | Shoulder
  • Dylan Parham | OG | Achilles

Full Go

  • Brock Bowers | TE | Hip
  • Aiden O’Connell | QB | Toe
  • Jakorian Bennett | CB | Shoulder
  • Kolton Miller | OT | Knee/Shoulder
  • Isaiah Pola-Mao | S | NIR/Personal
  • Cody Whitehair | OG | Chest
  • Adams and White are both out, which significantly impacts the Raiders’ offense. While Adams’s absence was expected, Miller, the starting left tackle, is good to go, as is first-round tight end Bowers.

Much of the focus has been on Crosby’s situation. He was limited in Friday’s practice, which raises hopes for his availability in Week 5. After missing last week and not participating fully on Friday, it would be surprising if he does play.

However, given his competitive nature, Crosby will likely want to extend his team’s winning streak over the Broncos, so he may still take the field. That said, nearly half of the Raiders’ 53-man roster is dealing with injuries.

    Welcome to the NFL.
